COSMETIC LASER SKIN REJUVENATION

I. FotoFacial RF™ Aurora treatments

All patients notice a consistent improvement in the appearance of their skin. The degree of improvement is gradual and persistent over a series of from three to six treatments depending upon the severity of the environmental damage the patient has experienced.

The degree of improvement can vary, but you will see significant improvement in pink and brown discoloration, spider veins, generalized sun damage, age spots, pore size, acne scarring, fine to moderate wrinkles, acne scarring, skin texture irregularities, laxity and smoothness.

Would this be a good treatment for my rosacea? - The ELOS and IPL treatment described above is an accepted and extremely successful procedure in reduction of the vascular lesions that characterize rosacea. The PhotoFacial™ ELOS system treats the vascular area at the appropriate settings to achieve general vein reduction, and the Cutera IPL targets specific veins. The veins will either fade or become dark as they are disabled, and will be absorbed into your system within a few days. We also have topical solutions for the management of Rosacea.

How does the Aurora do this? - Each pulse of the Aurora FotoFacial™ RF device sends two types of energy into your skin, intense, pulsed visible light (IPL) which is converted to thermal energy, followed by radio frequency (RF) energy. The IPL heats the targeted lesion, the RF further weakens it, causing brown spots, blood vessels, and redness to gradually and gently fade, and in the case of hair reduction, causes hair follicles to stop growing. At different settings, the synergistic IPL and RF energy delivered by the Aurora penetrates to the dermis, tightening and heating the collagen layer which stimulates new cell growth.

Will this treatment hurt - and will I have to miss work? - The treatments have a tolerable level of discomfort, greatly reduced or eliminated by the use of a topical anesthetic cream or our forced-air skin cooling system. After each treatment patients can apply makeup and return to normal activities. They rarely have down time or miss work or their regular activities.

II. Titan laser

We were among the first practices to offer the Titan laser as a treatment for skin laxity, and have successfully treated scores of patients since initiating this service beginning in February 2005. The Titan, a non-ablative skin rejuvenation laser, addresses lax skin of the face and neck and other areas of the body as well.

How does the Titan work its magic? - The Titan is one of our most powerful lasers, heating deep within the dermis with infrared light instead of radio frequency, causing the collagen support tissues to contract and tighten. There is no pain, excessive redness, or down time connected with this treatment. The underside of the hand piece provides cooling to your skin’s surface, protecting it and keeping you more comfortable during the procedure.

How many treatments are necessary? - Depending on your skin’s laxity, the area to be treated and the results you desire, multiple treatments may be required. We suggest a minimum of three treatments over a period of three months. It should be kept in mind that the results from Titan tissue tightening are gradual and it may take from three to six months to maximize the effects of the treatment.

III. Orion Harmony Laser

      The Harmony uses gentle light to restore skin to a more youthful state. Brown spots caused from sun damage and aging, red or flushed skin from rosacea or spider vessels, and rough skin texture will improve or disappear following a series of treatments.

Each laser skin treatment will result in a gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented and vascular imperfections. After each laser skin treatment, there will be temporary pinkness in the treated area and brown spots will become darker, before they lighten. There is no downtime involved with Harmony photofacial rejuvenation.

IV. Cutera

The Intense Pulse Light or IPL works great at removing visible blood vessels and removes a broad range of  pigmented and vascular lesions, while at the same time promoting collagen growth. The intense pulse light penetrates the skin without disturbing the outer layers of the dermis, basically working from the inside out.

The Cutera CoolGlide was designed to be the most outstanding laser hair removal system on the market for all skin types, from light to dark, including tanned patients. Its unique design, longer wavelength, and innovative cooling allow extremely effective, safe and permanent results.

V. N-Lite

The gentle, yellow light of the N-Lite laser penetrates the epidermis (the skin's surface) and heats up the dermis (subcutaneous tissue) thereby stimulating your body's fibroblast production. WHEN it works, the fibroblasts (collagen) actually builds up as it once was and the wrinkles are filled in from within. Resulting in a more youthful appearance. 

VI. Genesis

Laser Genesis improves the skin's overall appearance, particularly on face, neck and chest, decreasing fine line wrinkles and restoring even skin tones. Laser Genesis evens out acne scarring and is particularly effective in combination with other treatments such as chemical peels. Genesis can also be used to improve the appearance of other scars anywhere on the body. Genesis tightens pores and improves skin texture, smoothes ruddy complexions and diffuses excessive facial redness, including that caused by rosacea.

VIII. Fraxel

Fraxel® Laser Treatment (FLT) is a "fractional" treatment that produces thousands of deep, tiny columns in your skin, called microscopic treatment zones. FLT is "fractional" in that it intensively treats old epidermal pigment cells without affecting any of the surrounding tissue, which reduces healing time and promotes the skin's natural process for creating new, healthier tissue to replace the damaged cells. 

FLT is designed to target aging and sun damaged skin by targeting portions of specific damaged tissue.
