DR. MARLENE MASH TO SPEAK AT WORLD CONGRESS ON LIPOSUCTION IN DUBAI

The Montgomery County Dermatologist will join the top practitioners in cosmetic surgery for this international conference on Liposuction Surgery and Advances in Cosmetic Surgery
from Oct. 29-31.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA. Oct. 24—Dr. Marlene Mash, a board certified Dermatologist and Dermasurgeon, who specializes in cosmetic surgery, will be among the top physicians in the world speaking at the “World Congress on Liposuction Surgery and Advances in Cosmetic Surgery, from October 29-31 in Dubai.  Mash, who also serves as the medical director of the “Skin and Body Wellness Center” which she founded, will present a paper on “The Evolution of Surgical Facial Rejuvenation with the Application of Ultrasonic Technology.”

Dr. Mash pioneered a procedure which minimizes skin burns often associated with performing an ultrasonic liposuction. To prevent burns, a silicon sheet, measuring three inches square with a three millimeter offset opening, is employed. The silicon sheet protects the surrounding skin while the ultrasonic wand is in the port. The direct result is a gentle and less traumatic form of emulsifying the fat. The end result for patients, according to Mash, is “a speedy recovery and a happier patient.”

“I am always striving for the most innovative surgical and non-surgical techniques to help my patients recover quickly and give them a superior result,” Mash said. “I have performed 30 cases so far using Vaser Liposuction, in combination with face and neck surgical lifting, and the results are promising. I’m looking forward to the Dubai conference and to presenting my technique, as well as hearing from some of the best practitioners in the world.”

For the past 22 years, Dr. Mash has focused her practice on helping patients look and feel their best. She received her medical degree from Temple University, and was accepted as a Dermatology resident at Temple Skin and Cancer Hospital where she served as chief resident. She has studied internationally to learn advanced Liposuction techniques, as well as vein removal, laser surgery, and surgical facial rejuvenation. In addition, she has formulated her own skin care product line called, “MJM,” which includes: Antioxidant moisturizers, sunscreen and anti-aging products; Glycolic and Salicylic cleansers, body lotions and anti-aging formulations; Vitamin C creams; post-laser recovery creams and treatments; and her own specially-formulated anti-aging skin care line.

“I grew up in a family of physicians and, as a result, I am very interested in giving my patients not only the best care, but helping them live happy and healthy lives,” Mash said. “The skin is the body’s largest organ, and its appearance can often times predict a wide range of medical conditions, not to mention how we present ourselves to the world.  If I can help people look and feel their best as they age, and we all will, then I have done my job,” she added.

A copy of Dr. Mash’s presentation is available by request. Coverage of the conference is invited, and Dr. Mash is available for interviews before and after her presentation.
